About us

Sinergia Società Cooperativa Sociale was founded in 2009 with the aim to pursue the general interest of the community promoting human and social integration of citizens, through the management of social, health and educational services, as per art. 1, letter a) of the law 8 November 1991 n. 381.

The objective is represented by achieving goals of social solidarity and support of families and disadvantaged people, in the fields of social and health care assistance and support, charity, education and training, assisting the elderly, the disabled, adults and children and ensuring the best possible conditions of life from the moral, social and material level, and preventing, reducing and removing situations of need, the risks of marginalisation and social disadvantage.

To this end, the cooperative has the specified corporate purpose that its members will deal, among other things, with managing social, education and training activities for the benefit of its members and of diverse users. Sinergia is especially active in the support of people with fewer opportunities, such as immigrants, minor children of immigrants, the disabled, elderly and unemployed women.

The cooperative is registered in the national register of cooperatives - Section cooperatives at No. A201355, and the Regional Social Cooperatives - Section A to No. 747, the regional registry of associations, community and migrant organisations to n. 4 and to the Register of Associations and entities carrying out activities in the field of combating discrimination under Article. 6, paragraph 2, of Legislative Decree 9 July 2003 n. 215 n. 295.

The cooperative also adheres to AXIA, an association of second level, established thanks to the experience gained by sixteen cooperatives that had worked extensively in the province of Bari.

In agreement with the ITC Giordano of Bitonto, Sinergia manages a support and orienteering desk for European mobility. In addition, Sinergia is credited as Eurodesk antenna in the 2016 Italian Network (Sinergia has adhered to the Eurodesk network since 2014).

Furthermore, Sinergia also manages, in agreement with the City of Cassano delle Murge, the Europe orienteering service located in the Civic Library.

The activities carried out in the territory are:

• Monitoring and informing local stakeholders about the opportunities offered by the European Union;
• Promoting and supporting the participation of local actors in European, national and local activities, presenting projects in line with EU methodology;
• Spreading European culture in the local context and raising awareness about the concept of European citizenship;
• Starting a constant and constructive dialogue with the EU institutions;
• Valuing initiatives, ideas and local projects through Communitarian opportunities;
• Facilitating the participation of local actors in the political and Communitarian institutional process;
• Fostering international networks, European partnerships and exchange of good practices;
• Improving the competitiveness of local enterprises and supporting innovation;
• Providing training and guidance on programmes and opportunities for young people promoted by the European Union and the Council of Europe in the fields of education, training, mobility and citizenship;
• Providing training on facilitated finance opportunities for recruitment and self-employment of disadvantaged people.
