LEB’s experiences from implementing learning mobilities for adult educators by the funding of the Erasmus+ program shows that within the existing and available European networks there is too little engagement referring to applying for learning mobility projects. Therefore, executed learning mobilities lack transnationality. Since 2014 LEB organizes and implements workshops together with European partners but were only able to arrange groups of participants from one country for own fields of activity and requested learning topics in adult education. It was always difficult to organize learning activities with transnational participants. It seems that within the Erasmus+ program there are too many hurdles for adult education organizations in Europe.
Especially small and unexperienced organization are shy of applying for own mobility projects. Quite often time and efforts are too considerable, and the prospects of success are valued too low. The lack of transnationality within mobility projects doesn’t satisfy the idea of European learning opportunities in the context of the Erasmus+ program. We want to change this actual situation for our future participants of learning activities and for our European partners in adult education in Europe and offer a possible approach with this project.
From our point of view adult education organisations in Europe, that are willing to act as receiving and sending organizations for European learning mobilities need support in the fields of application, organisation and implementation. Due to this strategic partnership interested adult education organisations come together, circulate and exchange their experiences referring to applying for learning mobilities as well as obtain, consult, prepare and sent participants abroad and organize and implement concrete learning opportunities for foreign learners.
With support of the collaborative partnership each of the six project partners will
· gain first-hand information via exchange and training about
Ø how to apply for a mobility project
Ø how to act as a sending organization
Ø how to implement learning activities as a hosting organization
· apply for a learning mobility project as part of this project.
In a structured way we will
· plan concrete learning offers in the project partner countries
· agree on participant numbers to reach our main objective of implementing transnational learning activities and experiences for adult educators
support the strengthening of the intercultural competences of adult educators.
